The Canadian Catalogue of Instrumental Music was created to address the needs of Canadian artists, producers and composers who are often under represented in the current playlists of commercial radio in this country. The project has been funded through investments designated for Canadian Talent Development as part of a condition of license of The Jewel, a radio station owned and operated by Evanov Radio Group and licensed to serve Ottawa and area.
The Catalogue is recognized by the CRTC as a suitable recipient of Canadian Talent Development funding and as such, is open to investment by other broadcasters. Additionally, persons or organizations wishing to invest, participate or support the catalogue are encouraged to contact the site manager.
